Jeremiah Sivonda, 19, of Bethlehem, was arrested following a warranted search of a residence in the 500 block of East Locust Street, according to court documents and as Northampton County Assistant District Attorney Alec Colquhoun told LehighValleyLive.
Jeremiah Sivonda has been charged with the following according to his court docket:
- F1 Criminal Attempt - Criminal Homicide
- F1 Conspiracy - Criminal Homicide
- F1 Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause serious bodily injury or causes injury with extreme indifference
- F1 Conspiracy - Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause serious bodily injury or causes injury with extreme indifference
- F2 Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause or causes bodily injury with deadly weapon
- F2 Conspiracy - Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause or causes bodily injury with deadly weapon
- F3 Firearms Not To Be Carried without License
- M1 Possession Of Weapon
- M2 Conspiracy - Simple Assault
- M2 Simple Assault (3 Counts)
- M3 Criminal Mischief - Damage Property
Malachi Jay Williams, 21, of Easton, was also arrested outside his home in the 1200 block of Tatamy Road driving the silver Honda Civic police believe was in the shooting, LehighLive reports citing Palmer Township police.
Williams' car had allegedly been seen driving slowly in the 500 block of East Durham Street heading west as the victim approached the vehicle on Oct. 24 at approximately 9:45 p.m., according to court documents obtained by LehighValleyLive.
As the group was arguing, Sivonda pulled out a gun and loaded a bullet into the chamber and the victim walked away, but Williams and Sivonda got out of the car and walked towards the victim and fired two shots, the outlet reports reports citing police, Colquhoun and court documents.
One shot hit the victim and the other went into a garage of a residence in the 1100 block of Elm Street, Colquhoun told the outlet.
The incident was captured on audio and video surveillance devices, the outlet reports citing police.
Williams was charged with the following, according to his court docket:
- F1 Criminal Attempt - Criminal Homicide
- F1 Conspiracy - Criminal Homicide
- F1 Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause serious bodily injury or causes injury with extreme indifference
- F1 Conspiracy - Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause serious bodily injury or causes injury with extreme Indifference
- F2 Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause or causes bodily injury with deadly weapon
- F2 Conspiracy - Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause or causes bodily injury with deadly weapon
- M1 Possession Of Instrument Of Crime with intent
- M2 Conspiracy - Simple Assault (2 Counts)
- M2 Simple Assault
- M2 Conspiracy - Recklessly Endangering Another Person
Both men are being held in the Northampton County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail each and their preliminary hearings have been scheduled with Magisterial District Judge Roy A. Manwaring II on Nov. 23 at 9 a.m., according to their court dockets.
